Entebbe International Airport is the main international airport serving Uganda. The airport is an important gateway to Uganda and the surrounding region. It provides access to Uganda's diverse landscapes, wildlife, and cultural attractions and serves as a key transportation hub for travelers arriving in or departing from the country.
Entebbe International Airport is located in Entebbe, a town on the northern shores of Lake Victoria, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) from the capital city, Kampala.

The airport has a modern terminal with facilities for both domestic and international flights. It offers services such as customs and immigration, baggage handling, currency exchange, duty-free shopping, restaurants, car rental, and transportation services to and from Kampala.
The airport has one main runway, Runway 17/35, which is 3,658 meters (12,001 feet) long. It can accommodate a wide range of aircraft, including large commercial jets.

The airport handles both passenger and cargo flights. It is a significant gateway for the transport of goods into and out of Uganda and neighboring countries such as Democratic Republic of Congo and Southern Sudan.
Security at Entebbe International Airport has been enhanced in recent years to meet international standards. Passengers should be prepared for security checks and screening.
There are a variety of hotels around Entebbe international airport for people arriving late in the night, most hotels and lodges have shuttles to east your transportation, Most lodges are only 5 minutes from the airport, accommodation in Entebbe stretches across all budgets and will cater for almost all your demands, there are very budget lodges of about $30 and up market/high end categories, travelers will always have a wide range of choices to make.
There is a variety of cab operators in uniform right after exiting the airport, if you did not book with a tour company or Guide ahead of time, you have a chance to grab a Cab and drive to your accommodation, these cabs are regulated by the airport authority and wear tags, always remember to record the tag name and number before set off, if you can also record the cabs licence plate, you may need these at a later time in future.
