1 Days Akagera National Park Safari and Boat Cruise
This one-day tour takes you to Rwanda's only savanna national park for a true wildlife safari and an opportunity to spot the Big Five mammals. Akagera National Park is found in the eastern province of Rwanda in a District called Kayonza, which is located at the border with Tanzania. The park is named after the river Akagera and covers an area of 1,075 square kilometers. This tour is the best option for people visiting Rwanda's capital for a conference or business.
Detailed itinerary
Pick up, explore Akagera national park and drop off
Our Guide/Driver will pick you up from the airport or your hotel or residence
in Kigali and embark on a 2-hour drive to the park. On arrival, the guide will take you through the whole Registration process. After this, you will go straight for the morning game drive in the company of a ranger Guide.
The Akagera game drive takes about 4 hours but can last about 6 hours, depending on the animal sightings and interest. During this time, expect to encounter Lions, Zebras, Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Leopards (if you are lucky), and Rhinos.
You will then have a picnic lunch at the park and head for the afternoon boat safari at Lake Ihema. After the boat safari, you will return to Kigali, arriving later in the evening.

Entebbe for the Seasoned Traveler: Where to Stay, Drink Coffee and Spend Your Time
Discover the best places to stay, drink Ugandan coffee and explore Entebbe, from Lake Victoria cruises and botanical gardens to shoebill tracking and conservation experiences. For many visitors, Entebbe is simply the place where their flight lands before they continue to Kampala, Bwindi, Murchison Falls, or another part of Uganda. Experienced travelers know better. Set along the northern shores of Lake Victoria, Entebbe offers something increasingly rare in modern travel: a gentle arrival. Its leafy streets, tropical gardens, lakeside restaurants, historic institutions, and unhurried atmosphere provide a welcome transition between an international flight and the intensity of an African safari. Entebbe does not demand that you rush from one attraction to another. It rewards travelers who stay for a night or two, recover from the journey, drink good Ugandan coffee, and explore at a considered pace.
